Explaining My Event

We have been learning to write an explanation. I have written one about an event that I made up. Here it is.

Basketball hoop is an made up game. It was made up by Damien Puri  in Auckland in 2014. How you win is by stepping with the ball and dribbling the ball and shooting it in the goal.

You will need a basketball hoop and a basketball to play. They are going to play at the Point England School hall. The hall is a basketball sized court made from wood.

The team is made up of 10 players. There are 3 defence, 3 attack and 4 mids who defend and attack. The rules are no fouling that means you cannot slap the ball out of someone elses’ hands. If the ball goes out of the court then it is the other teams ball. The ref does an throw up to start the game and an player from each team smacks the ball towards their own team.

My Immersion Assembly

This is about what happened at immersion assembly at the beginning of Term 3. On the first day of school for Term 3 we went to the hall to have our Immersion assembly. It was time for team 4 to get up and do their play. The teacher’s that were acting as three little pigs were Miss Ouano, Miss Lavakula and Mr Sommerville. Mr Marks was the big bad scary wolf he was the one that was going to be blowing down the houses. The first pig built her house of straw. The wolf came and told the pig to let him in. The pig said "No!!!" The wolf huffed and puffed and blew the house down, then he ate the little pig. The second pig built her house from sticks. The wolf came again and told the pig to let him in. The pig said "No!!!" The wolf huffed and puffed and blew the house down, then he ate the little pig. The last little pig was very clever and built his house from bricks. Along came the wolf, he could smell bacon. The wolf tried to blow the pigs house down but he couldn't because it was to strong. The wolf tried to climb down the chimney but the little pig had a pot of boiling water on the fire. When the wolf came down the chimney he burnt his bottom, the wolf quickly ran out the door and never came back.
