What is a Food Chain?

A food chain is what living things eat in an ecosystem. It starts with a producer like plankton. Then you have a consumer like Krill. Producers are eaten by consumers. Then you have a predator like a penguin. The predator eats the consumer. An Orca also a predator, they eat the penguins. For example, an Orca eats the penguin, the penguin eats the krill, the krill eats the plankton.

Antarctic Food Chain

In room 13 we have been learning about the Antarctic Food Chains. Here is what I have done to show what a Leopard seal eats.  Please leave me a comment.

Will.I.Am

Miss Lavakula told us that there was a special visitor coming to our assembly. When we saw that it was Will.I.Am, he was so happy to see us. He came to our school to give Manaiakalani a cheque for $100,000.00 All the point england students were excited. Will.I.Am sings scream and shout that is the best song ever some people and I like listening to it. When he came we were all saying “woo”. when i saw him on tv i saw the Point England students too.

Whales

Whales are big and they like to swim in water. They can take a breath when they come up to the top of the water

Rugby league

On Tuesday our whole class went to the courts for a lesson in rugby league. For our training we had to learn some new skills. We learned how to pass, attack and defend. For the first step we had to do a warm up, it was called Benji says. Our coach James tells us what to do and we have to copy him. If he said Benji says high knees we have to do that, but if he doesnt says Benji says we had to keep doing what he said before. When we finished our warm up we got into 2 teams to play catch and pass. We had to pass the ball to our team mates 10 times, the other team had to try to stop us getting to 10. Our next skill that we learnt was how to pass the ball backwards to our team mates. after that we played octopus we had to ran and some people had to stand and lean to the side to try and touch them.the next game we played was duck duck goose it was so fun
