Title - My Gummy Worm Experiment
Purpose: What do you want to learn/find out?
What happens when you put in the sodium alginate and also with the calcium chloride solution .
|
Hypothesis: Try to predict the answer to the problem. Another term for hypothesis is ‘educated guess’. This is usually stated like ” If I…(do something) then…(this will occur)
It will only change into a gummy worm if you if you put it in the right order. When you mix the solution of calcium chloride and water before you put in the alginate.
|
Materials: List everything you will need to conduct your experiment.
Calcium, chloride, sodium alginate, polymer chemical reaction, pipettes
|
Experiment procedure: The fun part! Design a test or procedure to confirm or disprove your hypothesis. Write down each step so that someone else could do the same experiment.
Step one: Mixing the calcium chloride water and then we stirred until it dissolved.
Step two: We picked the sodium alginate with the pipettes.
Step three: next thing you need to do is that you have to watch it dissolve.
|
Analysis/Data: Record what happened during the experiment.
When we picked up the gummy worm it was hard and gummy and also squishy.
|
Yes the experiment was correct because we checked it all out before we moved on.
|
Conclusion:Review the data and check to see if your hypothesis was correct.
In the experiment it was gonna turn into a soft gummy worm.
